Romans 15:13

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”


  • Believe Jesus can change your situation.

Mark 10:46-47

“Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and His disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. 47When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

1 Peter 1:19, 21

“But you were purchased with the precious blood of Christ…

21Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him honor and glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”

  • Ignore all the negative voices.

Mark 10:48

“Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Proverbs 29:25

“The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that.”

  • Listen for God’s call.

Mark 10:49

“Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”

  • Let go of the things that hold you back.

Mark 10:50

“Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.”

Hebrews 12:1

“Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up…”

  • Tell God exactly what you need.

Mark 10:51

“What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”

Romans 8:32

“Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else?”

  • Receive hope in faith.

Mark 10:52a

“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.”

  • Follow Jesus one step at a time!

“Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.”
