12-16-18 Message Notes “God With Us Part 3”
Title: “God with us…In the Storm”
Text: Acts 27:20-25
Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
“Storm” = a difficult time that blows in out of nowhere.
GOD WITH US IN THE STORM…Acts 27:20-25
- Never let the presence of a storm cause you to doubt the presence of God.
2 Timothy 4:16-17 “…everyone deserted me… 17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength…”
Psalm 16:8 “I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.”
- Never give up hope!
- Peace is not the absence of a storm. Peace is found in the presence of Jesus.
- God will use what you learn in the storm to help someone else through their storm.
- Faith is not in what you see, faith is in what God says!
Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. 2 So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and mountains fall into the ocean depths; 3 even if the seas roar and rage, and the hills are shaken by the violence.”
